Mejuri Montreal

The collaboration with Mejuri commenced as a project aimed at redefining the global retail direction and strategy for their stores. This involved implementing design updates to the interior encompassing materials, lighting, furnishings, and fixtures, along with considerations for tiering, design approach, and community connection or storytelling.

Once the global retail strategy and direction were established, I collaborated with the team to design and develop their upcoming new sites. This involved spatial planning, as well as research and design development, with a specific emphasis on community and conveying localised storytelling through materials and design.

The Mejuri Montreal site was positioned at the intersection of architectural boroughs: Golden Mile, Ville-Marie, and Downtown Montreal. The store design and palette were a deliberate juxtaposition, blending the contrasting architectural styles of Montreal. The store featured a blend of minimal contemporary design and palette, creating a striking contrast with the rich historical context of the site .
