Mejuri Yorkdale

The collaboration with Mejuri commenced as a project aimed at redefining the global retail direction and strategy for their stores. This involved implementing design updates to the interior encompassing materials, lighting, furnishings, and fixtures, along with considerations for tiering, design approach, and community connection or storytelling.

Once the global retail strategy and direction were established, I collaborated with the team to design and develop their upcoming new sites. This involved spatial planning, as well as research and design development, with a specific emphasis on community and conveying localised storytelling through materials and design.

The Yorkdale store is situated in a prominent location within a renowned retail mall in Toronto, representing the brand's debut in mall settings. With the completion of this build, the initial concept for the style bar came to fruition. Serving as more than just a fixture, the style bar was meticulously designed to elevate the customer experience, providing a personalised shopping journey with the assistance of the Mejuri styling team. The "Style Bar" has emerged as a pivotal design and service feature in Mejuri stores.
